Job Bench and Mary Man(n) were married on 20 November 1712 in Saint Mary, Warwickshire County, England.

Saint Mary church/parish is West/North West of Southam (about 11 miles), but close to Lillington Parish (about 4 miles).

Job Bench was baptised in Southam Parish, Warwickshire County, England on 25 April 1693.

I have seen several entries in other online records that list his name erroneously as Jebthe Bench.  The entry is a little difficult to read, because the word  "Job" and the word "the" run very close to each other.  The "o" is mistaken for an "e", hence many folks listed him as Jebthe Bench, instead of Job Bench.  If you look at all entries above and below Job's, you clearly see the clerk/scribe using the word "the" after each persons first name.  If you increase the size of the .pdf, you can also see the "o" vice "e".

Joseph Bench was baptized on 2 Feb 1661 in Saint Nicholas, Warwickshire, England (near Southam).

This particular set of baptism records did not mention mothers/wifes, only dads/fathers.  His father was listed as Job Bench.

Job Bench and Anne Welch were married in Lillington Parish on 21 November 1654.

This is the first marriage record for my Bench family branch in which the marriage named at least some of the parents. Job's parents were listed as Humfrey and Anne Bench, while James Welch was listed as the father of Anne Welch.

Humphrey (Humfrey/Humfrye) Bench and Anne Nicoll(e) /Nicoll(es) were married on 30 October 1615 in Lillington, Warwickshire County, England.

Humphrey (Humfrey/Humfrye) Bench was baptised on 22 Apr 1593 in Lillington, Warwickshire, England.  He was noted on the baptism record as the son of Thomas Bench and Dorothy.

Thomas Bench (the younger) was baptized on 11 Jun 1565 in Lillington, Warwickshire County, England.  In the baptism record it was noted that he was the son of  Phillip Bench and Joane.

We also know from the will of his grandfather (Thomas Bench - the elder), that he was born before 16 March 1565 in Lillington, in which he was mentioned in this will, which was probated on 19 March 1565 and actually written on 16 ? 1565.  This would place his birth at least on or before the will was drafted on the 16th, and when it was probated on the 19th.

His wife was Dorothy, likely Dorothy Holmes, daughter of John Holmes and Anne

Thomas and Dorothy had 3 known children, Humphrey (Humfrey) Bench, Sybil Bench, and Susanna Bench.

The attached .PDF Family Group sheet is of the Known (and proposed) children of Thomas Bench (the Elder) and his wife Elizabeth.

Of the 4 listed children, Phillip Bench was positively listed as a son of Thomas (the elder) and Elizabeth in his 1565 will.

Margery was listed as the wife of Richard Nicoll(s) in the 1565 Thomas Bench (the elder) will, and since they were noted as married in 1546 in Lillington, it is safe to list Margerye Bench as a daughter of Thomas Bench (the elder).

The other two (proposed children), Isabel and William fit the time-frame, but more needs to un-covered to be sure.

Isabel Bench is a "proposed" daughter of Thomas Bench (the elder).  Isabel Bench married Michael Robbins on 29 September 1541 in Lillington Parish, Warwickshire, England.  I have placed her birth year circa 1522, based on her marriage date.

The will of Thomas Bench (the elder) has not been completly decyphered yet, but Michael Robbins is mentioned, along with a child. Isabel may be listed, but have not been able to make out all names as of yet. There is a Isabel Bench who was buried in 1543, and I believe if she is not listed in the will (as believed), she may be the same Isabel Bench listed here.  Normally a wife is listed with the last name of her husban after marriage, but this may have been a clerical omission.  I not we have yet another Isabel Bench to find parentage with.
